DCR Announces Acquisition of Postec Grocery Business
The acquisition is part of an ongoing investment strategy to provide optimal POS systems, service, and support to grocers.
Atlanta, GA – July 21, 2025 – Today, DCR, a leading provider of end-to-end point of sale (POS) systems and services for grocers, announced it has signed an agreement to acquire Postec Grocery Business. DCR will own Postec Grocery Business to enhance grocery POS system features and delivery. DCR plans to retain Postec Grocery Business’ entire staff and its office in Roswell, GA.
DCR is excited to expand its grocery POS system capabilities through the addition of the Postec Grocery Business. This will enhance DCR’s ability to deliver a broader range of solutions designed to help grocers drive revenue and strengthen customer loyalty. As part of this transition, Postec customers will now have access to DCR’s portfolio of technologies and services—solutions built to support growth, streamline operations, and deepen customer engagement. With solutions like mobile checkout, electronic shelf labels (ESL), self-checkout, and advanced loyalty programs, DCR remains focused on meeting the evolving needs of grocery retailers and gains even greater flexibility to tailor solutions to each client’s specific goals. This expansion only reinforces both organizations’ commitment to providing fully integrated POS systems and back them with industry-leading sales and service.
“Extending DCR with Postec Grocery Business’ staff and services is part of a bigger strategy of continual investment to provide new tools and the highest quality of service and support,” Blake Gillum, DCR President, says.
DCR has scheduled operations with the Postec Grocery Business team to begin on 7/7/2025, with an expanded portfolio of grocery POS system features available in Q3 2025.
